Capt. Tim Fey reporting for Central Florida area. We have had allot of rain, creating moving water and the bass are on the move. Jack and I were out on East Lake Toho this morning scouting and checking out the flow and how it was going to affect the bass out here. Very strong flow coming thru the canals made for some good fishing using Red Eye Shads, Whacky rigged and T-Rigged senkos and lizards. We are going into Fall a time of weather and water temperatures fluctuates. The bass will be moving from shallow water to to deeper water in rapidly cooling water from rain and wind, making great fishing. Due to rains the water levels are looking great.
Come catch your bass with us now!!!
Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

The month of September is typically one of our hottest months of the year. For this reason, most people will feel the bass fishing will not be any good. I am here to tell you this is far from the truth. The early morning bite is typically a very good bite, hitting the water early does benefit the angler, not only with the bass biting, but also the chance to help avoid the heat.
East Lake Toho has still being holding steady with action in the early morning hours getting very limited top water action, but the redeye shad and white spinner bait have been picking off the bass steadily. When the day heats up, the big ticket has been senko type baits and flukes, worked in and around topped out grasses scattered around the main lake. The 6 to 10 foot range has been the areas that have seemed to hold more bass, and the better quality bass out here.
West Lake Toho has been fishing a lot like East Lake Toho. One big out here though is locating moving water after the rains. These areas will not only hold some good sized bass, but will also hold some good numbers as well. Northern end of the lake seems to be one of the better areas for producing bass as well as a few areas of offshore grasses.
Water levels were definitely much lower than my previous trip out here, maybe one day the state of Florida water Mismanagement will leave a good thing alone, but I highly doubt that. Despite the lower levels the lake is very safe to travel around, and the bass were definitely more than will to play. Great thing being, all the bass caught today were right in the two to three pound range, and very scrappy fighters.
