Primarily Fished the North End of Lake Okeechobee
Hello, this is Captain Jason Young with yet another Lake Okeechobee fishing report
Today I fished with Dan from South Dakota, what a great guy. We primarily fished the north end of Lake Okeechobee and spent most of the day fishing using wild shiners to target the big bass. I noticed early today that water temperatures have drop down to around 69 degrees. This is causing the big bass to start moving around and show themselves.
We caught a lot of fish today, most of the fish were located in areas with large cattail walls. We caught multiple fish over (4 lbs) four pounds and a few more over (5 lbs) five pounds. So fishing is clearly picking up, season for the big bass could be coming early this year.
Until next time, this is Captain Jason Young wishing you tight lines!
