Central Florida Bass Fishing GuidesNovember Bass Fishing, Folks this is the time of year we really start to get excited. Cooler weather has finally grabbed a hold of us which makes things very nice when you’re out on the waters of Central Florida chasing after those trophy bass we have down here. Live wild shiners become one of the main baits of choice for many anglers, as they start that search for the big ten pound plus trophy largemouth bass.

Central Florida Crappie FishingCentral Florida has the lakes that can and will produce trophy bass every year. Lake Toho being one of the main targets of many anglers, and this great body of water will yield more than its fair share of the lunker bass. Lake Kissimmee will also produce so big monster bass as well. With the main targets being grass beds and skinny waters closer to shore, as the bass are getting closer to spawn time.

Years past we have come across bass beds by the first week of December, but a lot of this will be hinged on how the weather treats us as well. With a steady weather pattern it is very possible to start catching bass from beds by the end of the month, although the spawn generally will not hit full swing until January or February.

Butler Chain and Conway Chain will also be some great bass fishing action. Bother these bodies of water have some of the cleanest waters around, and both are well known for bass schooling action. Both these areas not only hold some of the deeper water action, but they also have a ton of docks that can be fished, and these docks will hold some great bass. We round out Central Florida Bass fishing with Johns Lake. Johns Lake is known for some great bass schooling action and when the spawn hits, this place can compete with Lake Toho when it comes to trophy bass fishing. Don’t forget, we also have some pretty darn good crappie fishing here in Central Florida as well.

October Bass FishingOctober Bass Fishing in Central Florida is off the hook folks! This is the time of year when we generally get our first cool front of the year, which not only helps to bring down the air temperatures, but it will also lower the temperature of the water in our lakes. Bass fishing will be good on all of our lakes, Lake Toho, Lake Kissimmee and Butler Chain of lakes just to name a few.

Bass Fishing in FloridaHere in Florida we have year round bass fishing, which means trophy bass can be caught all year long, but your best chances are when the weather starts cooling off and the bass really start feeding up for the spawn. October is usually the start of some very good schooling action, as the bass start really feeding up on the shad and wild shiners in our lakes.

One of the best baits to use this time of year is no doubt the wild shiner, these baits will not only produce some good numbers, but some great sized bass as well. Many anglers prefer not to use live bait, and opt for the artificial baits, and that always works for us. Top baits will definitely be top water lures early on in the day, switching off to spinner baits and soft plastics during the day. Just remember, even as the day warms up, it’s not hot like it is during the summer months, so that top water lure can work for you the entire day.

Bass will be hitting the shallower waters now that things are cooling off for us, and the toads and senko type baits are really going to start putting some quality bass into the boat for some great pictures. Central Florida Trophy Bass Fishing

Central Florida Bass fishing has been doing very good. Start of November has brought us some cooler overnight temperatures which has helped lower the water temperatures. What this has done for us is simple, it has turned on some very good bass fishing action here in Florida. Many people come here every year to fish the spawning season, in search of that trophy bass, but what many over look is the fact when these bass start feeding up for the spawn, like they are now, your chances of catching some nice trophy bass also increases.

Today was my day off so I did what I love to do, I went bass fishing. Hitting the waters in hopes of catching some action on a new mouse I have, only to find that the mouse action just was not going to happen. I switched lures up some and tied on one of my Spro Shads and the bass loved this thing. First bass caught on it was a dink, then a nice 3 pounder smacked it. This had me all pumped as I know these waters here hold some great bass. Working along weed lines and lily pads, I kept at it when the rod slammed over. After a brief fight, and a little tussle with the video camera, a very nice 5 plus pound trophy bass was coming over the side of the boat.

Bass like these are common all year long here in Florida, and Central Florida bass fishing is probably the best action the state of Florida has. With lakes like world famous Lake Toho, Lake Kissimmee, Butler Chain and Conway Chain, there is no need to travel any further. Remember, we are just a matter of minutes from all three major theme parks, and can put you on some great Disney area and central Florida bass fishing action.

Lake Toho Bass Fishing and Kissimmee Chain Bass Fishing

Lake Toho Trophy Bass FishingThe bass fishing on Lake Toho and the Kissimmee Chain has been great for us. Live wild shiners of course have always been a good bet to catching some good numbers as well as size, but I gotta tell you folks, we have been slamming some good numbers as well as size with artificial baits.

Our main baits as of late have been a good mix with senko type baits, speed craws, spinner baits, stike king red eye shads, and the one that woke up the sleeping giant the first day of October was the Azuma Shaker Z.

One main area we have been working has a good spam of lily pads with a bunch of scattered grasses and hydrilla and it has been holding a ton of bass. Working the Azuma Shaker Z around the grasses and just above the hydrilla produced some good numbers, as well as this toad of a bass. We had spotted a few other huge blowups in the water but they were just out of casting distance, but I tell ya, they were bass just as big as this trophy bass.

Soft plastics had produced several smaller bass as well as two bass that were four pounds plus, and they fought like champs. The air temperature as well as the water temperatures are finally cooling down and it has been triggering a pretty good feed from the bass. The day started out with the water surface temp right at 76 degrees and made for some good bass fishing. This coming week is looking like much cooler temps over night as well as during the day, and this will only benefit the bass fishing action in a positive way.

Lake Toho and Kissimmee Chain Bass Fishing

We hit the kissimmee chain for some bass fishing. Frankie Viola, professional Baseball player and host of Reel Fishing along with Jimmie our camera/web guy had a blast catching a ton of great bass. Here i am with a sweet trophy bass caught on a stike king red eye shad. This bass hit the lure like a freight train.

Bass fishing in Florida, hot and no breeze to speak of. Typically many anglers would run from a lake in these conditions. Everyone wants to bass fish and catch plenty of bass, but to many anglers they feel these conditions are not the best to catch numbers or size. This is where it comes in handy knowing the waters you fish and how to fish them.

Here in Florida, bass fishing is a year round thing and the big gals can take your offerings on any given day, or any given cast regardless of the weather conditions. This day we were out on Lake Jackson, which is a part of the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes, but very rarely talked about. Many years ago, this was the place to be to catch big trophy bass, as well as landing some great numbers of bass.

Like many lakes over the years, some that get excessive fishing pressure will fold to that pressure and everybody moves on to the next body of water. This is one of those lakes, like Lake Walk in Water, that is now making a nice come back and fishing has been picking up very nicely. Not only good numbers, but size as well.

This great bass fishing lake is only 1,020 acres in size and you have to drive down a long and sometimes pretty rough dirt and gravel road to what I must admit is probably not the best ramp in the world, but there is some great bass fishing out here. Along with some great bass fishing, you can also see some good sized alligators, Bald Eagles and much more wildlife than most lakes here in Florida.
