GoFISHn partners with Fly Rod & Reel magazine
Leading fly fishing magazine and new social network partner to better interact with the fly fishing community
GoFISHn (www.gofishn.com), today announced a partnership with Fly Rod & Reel magazine (www.flyrodreel.com) as its first major media member to take advantage of the new media accounts GoFISHn made available in January.
“GoFISHn’s platform allows us to interact in new ways with the fly-fishing community and share our content with a new audience, as well as through Facebook,” says Joe Healy, Fly Rod & Reel associate publisher. “We look forward to experimenting with our content on GoFISHn and reaching a new audience there and on Facebook.”
GoFISHn created the media account type to allow magazines, writers, photographers, videographers, artists, bloggers, and other media creators to take full advantage of GoFISHn’s features for businesses.
“Writers, photographers, wildlife artists, and other media professionals are much like other fishing-related businesses. They want to make smart use of the fast-growing GoFISHn community, as well as our bridges to Facebook and Google, to better market themselves on the Internet,” says Ned Desmond president and founder of Go Sportn Inc., the parent of GoFISHn. “I am delighted to have a new partner as distinguished as Fly Rod & Reel. We’ll do our best to make their GoFISHn membership a success, and Fly Rod & Reel’s presence on GoFISHn is already making a great contribution.”
GoFISHn (www.gofishn.com/ned) currently has 11 different profile account types for business owners to select from, and more than 2000 registered members.
Fly Rod & Reel (http://www.gofishn.com/flyrodreel) was co-founded in 1979 by John Merwin, who is currently Field & Stream magazine’s fishing editor. Based in Camden, Maine, Fly Rod & Reel is published 5 times a year and has a readership of more than 100,000 dedicated fly-fishers.
GoSportn Inc. is a start-up social media and technology company based in California and Maryland. GoFISHn is its first launch. For more information, visit www.gofishn.com/info/about.
